The Script
Hey! I'm writing this from set. A director buddy of mine here in Nashville is shooting a feature film called ZORRERA, and he asked me to play one of the leads, so I'll be filming all through October. It’s pushing me in several ways which I love. I’ve never actually lead a feature film before, so this is a first and is making me step up as an actor. I’ve also never acted in an action thriller, so getting special effects makeup done with cuts and blood and working physically with fighting and weapons has been a blast. After spending so much time behind and in front of the camera on DYING FOR LOVE, it's been really fun to solely focus on acting again.
Speaking of DYING FOR LOVE, our screening at Nashville Film Festival was a massive success, and because so many of you came out and voted, we won the AUDIENCE AWARD! At our last festival I became an award-winning actor, and now, thanks to you, I'm an award-winning filmmaker too. I'm so grateful to each of you who bought a ticket, watched with us, and voted, and to the festival for selecting our film. Means more than you know.
While we’re talking about film festivals, I’ve got some big news! The festival run isn't over... DYING FOR LOVE has been selected to screen at AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL! This is a big one! We plan to be there at our first of two screenings on October 31st at 3:00PM! Film passes for our screenings are linked at the bottom of this section. Come watch it on the big screen and hang out with us!
Now, last but not least, the DYING FOR LOVE OFFICIAL TRAILER is here! Well not for everyone, just you! Scroll down to the Movie Recommendation section to watch it (yes, I'm recommending my own movie lol). It took a lot of revisions and great coaching from my production mentor to get it perfect. My wife, Jess, cried when she first watched it. It'll be public soon, but I wanted you to see it first!
